Guild Wars 2

I was looking to craft a nice Box of Vigorous Splint Armour for my charr so I bought as many bones as I could, akin to the recipe on the wiki.
To my horror, however, bones don’t show up in my discovery tab when crafting. is anyone able to tell me why? Do I need a recipe?
I’m crafting level 177.

Bones won’t show in your discovery window. They are used to craft inscriptions/insignias, and recipes for those are not discoverable. Some of them must be bought/found, others will be automatically unlocked in your craft tab when you reach appropriate crafting level.

By the way, recipes for the armor boxes are also not discoverable and must be acquired otherwise (in this case either through mystic forge, or from TP). You can however craft each piece of the armor separately.
