Q:
I crafted Flamebringer need confirmation from Dev.
A:
Don’t always believe what you see in those 3D previews. They do not do justice to the models or their effects.
When drawn, that blade bursts into flames. It is based on the Fiery Gladius from GW1, if you are familiar with it.
Are you talking about Flamebelcher? If so, it does not have particle effects. I couldn’t find the word “Flamebringer” in the weapons folder of our database.
Firebringer of Smoldering sorry for the confusion!

According to the 3d model it does not appear to have particle effects.
(However, with it being that expensive I would kind of expect it to.)
Cool looking sword, Dysect, gz
Could you share the recipe for the sword and perhaps a screenshot of it if you have it equipped?

Really, please shed some light on how you spent 60G!
Is there a great sword version?
I’d be interesting in crafting this myself! Please post recipe
Are there any plans to add particle effects to the preview window?
Ok guys sorry to update so late on the matter, work tied me up a bit. Anyways I was very glad that the sword did have particle effects. HUGE thanks to Linsey for confirming this with me and fellow guild mates on helping me obtain the sword.
@TowerGuard
There is a greatsword available that looks just as awesome, heck even I’m a bit jelly of that greatsword, however no known recipe for it is known at the time unless someone won’t post it.

@ReiKoutei/Wolfgang
Recipe = 30 Mystic Coins(50S), 50 Molten Lodestones (6Gold), 250 Orichalcum Sword Blade(45G), Eldritch Scroll(50 Skill Points) *Prices are based on when I bought it at the time, and are rounded off.
Screenshots will be added when I get home, most likely at 7PM EST. It’s pretty cool when the sword is drawn.
@Hawken
Thanks
Last thing, if anyone would like they could update this on the GW2 Wiki, and I encourage others to do the same if you found some cool recipes and made the item.

Does it cause enemies to ignite and scream rolling on the ground when they die like the fiery dragon sword? It should.
Is there a Non-Flaming version of this sword? Like a regular gladius?
Even this Named Exotic 1h Sword is more impressive than Bifrost, Minstrel, Meteor-something.
T.T
I’m curious about that too Orbifold.
Does anyone know if there is a regular version of this sword model without the flaming particle effects? Would love to use a gladius, but don’t care about the fire part.
Yes there is. It’s called Honor of Humanity and since there are quite a lot of them for sale on the TP, it’s probably a drop or you get it from the mystic forge when you combine 4 rare/exotic swords.
Thank you!
Hmm, are the 3D models at GWDB simply inaccurate? I am tempted to buy Honor of Humanity off of the TP, but the model on GWDB looks nothing like a gladius. Same with a Wing Shield. There is a shield on the TP called “Shield of the Wing” that has the exact same icon as a Wing Shield, but GWDB shows the 3D image as a generic buckler shield.
Any chance any of you know the actual model of Honor of Humanity or Shield of the Wing?
Alright, I took a chance and purchased Shield of the Wing, and the model in-game is not the generic buckler shown on GWDB. So, for what its worth, GWDB models can’t be trusted in the slightest.
