Q:

I already have my precursor (The Hunter) and 77 clovers. I’m going for The Predator.

Now what should I do next?

I figure Obsidian Shards/karma overlap with WvW tokens because of the massive karma rewards for capturing keeps. And Bloodstone Shard naturally overlaps with World Exploration because of skill points.

That leaves Gift of Stealth (500 CoE tokens + 100 Onyx Lodestones), and Gift of Magic/Might (250 of every mat). I also have to do Icy Runestones (100g).

I’m just a little overwhelmed at where to go now. t6 mats are my main source of money, yet I’m forced to deposit each and every I find.

Anyone have any tips for speeding up the remaining goals? Strategies? Besides running CoF (because that got boring after crafting Volcanus with all my Molten Lodestones), what ideas do you have to complete the remaining gifts? Particularly, the stacks of 6 mats?

1) Find a money making method and abuse it, leave farming for the bots.
2) Buy materials.
3) Craft Legendary.
4) Be generic and dance around LA trying to show off, before realising nobody cares about Legendaries since November.

Well you can attempt farming them, spiders for powerful venom and dust, risen for ancient bones, southsun for powerful bloods, anything high level for fangs and claws.

You will earn about 2g worth of mats an hour that way and it will take you 3-4 months to do if you can farm for about 4 hours a day.

Or you can run CoF for 8g/hr and be done in a few weeks.

A depressing outlook for someone who has the notion of eventually gearing up each of his characters with a Legendary.

Well I’m also spending my laurels on t6 bags (3 t6 mats inside). Any more tips to completing my t6 stacks?

If you dont want to farm mobs, this is what I’m doing. Check orrsmap for Omnon and Ori node locations and plan the most efficient route, gather them and sell them. You should be able to get 30+ Ori, sell them for 1g then proceed to buy ~30 Heavy Moldy bags. The gathering is funding your bags. Open and pray to get some T6. I got lucky last night and got 9 powerful bloods and 5 Armored Scales (too bad I need 500) with some other T6.

And using excess Laurels is good also. Another method is trying to fail Mystic clovers.

Also, I see too many people buy Icy Runestones. I THINK they should be the last thing to get since its STATIC and will always be there at the same price while everythign else isnt. That 100g could have went into your gift of Might/Magic or other things.

I’m sitting on quit a few laurels (93) and the ascended laurel gear doesn’t appeal to me, but even still I’m hesitant to follow this route as I’m wondering what other items might be added to the laurel vendors soon.

Making gold is relatively easy, deciding where to spend it is not. Buy mats, or farm them? Then do you hoard them and make less gold or sell it all and buy em back later at low buy orders? It’s all preference really. Farming Orr is a good idea as well. What I also do is watch the event timers on guildwars2temple or whatever it’s called and farm every chest every day that I play and it’s basically 10+ free rares for selling or farming ectos to sell/keep what ever floats your boat.

The best way to get karma is to do the daily. While you’re farming for mats or in WvW, just make sure to tick off the daily categories. Store the jugs in your bank. Wait until there are karma boosts up in LA and drink all the jugs at once. If you stack all the karma boosts available, I think you can nearly double the amount of karma in a jug. Even after you get all your shards, you can use the karma for the RNG Orr boxes to turn karma into gold.

For mats and gold, maybe mix farming up with your dungeon runs? Make sure not to get DR farming and then bring it to the dungeon, but dungeons are more regularly rewarding than PvE lots of times.

For gold, the standard answers – CoF, TP, world bosses – do work. You can mix and match those for decent money and mats. If you need a break from Orr, try farming in 35-60 zones. There are fewer people farming there, so you can sell T3 and T4 mats or mid-level cooking mats for surprising amounts of money. Not as good as T6, but it’s not bad.
