I wanna start on getting my legendary, im not real good at playing the tp or flipping items so is there any good spot left to grind for gold, my job limitates me of only being able to play 2/3 hours a day and i was wondering whats the best place to farm at these days, ever since cursed shore has been nerfed ,i have no idea where to go,im also not a fan of lode stone farming since the drops depend to much on luck for me and i wanna be sure i make atleast 2/3g .

I’m kinda having the same issue.
I used to farm plinx, it was quite nice with lot of nice people around. But then they nerfed it and I don’t really know where to farm ever since.

I didn’t find a single good spot for event farming, except roaming in cursed shore.
Normal grind-farm is boring and gets lonely imo. But when I take my time to farm, I usually try to farm trolls/grawls in frostgorge.

Not really, no there isn’t. Just pick a dungeon and run it over an over.

Or just convert gems to gold and buy one on the TP. Say 50 bucks every month. Epic quest is epic. >.<

hey rms, i just finished my legendary and i have a similar window of playtime as you. in fact, today i might not even get to play other than my daily achievement.

i do not flip items on the tp, but i make a modest amount of gold there in addition to the gold i make per day.

the short answer is to try out fractals or ascalonian catacombs. i can make 4-5g in 1 hr in ac exp and usually 3-6 rares per run of fractals. the rares usually include 1 charged core for 1.5g

AC is probably the best money maker dungeon, second is cof path 1.

Lol how do you earn 4-5g in 1hr AC? Full AC run is about 2-3g.

omnom bar and hit every 5s graveling = 7s. also never skipping a boss, which I assume is a full run by what you’re saying. add in the odd troll and I am up 4-5g after 3 paths. my guild mate consistently gets 5g+.

and no, this is not counting the rares/exotics that drop. that’s icing on the cake.

5g a hour sounds pretty nice so might try that, did a cof p1 speedrun today made around 1g in 15min so il probally do a few ac and cof when i have time. Ty for the tips

Don’t start by grinding for gold, do some of the other required things first. Go for 100% world completion, do WvWvW until you get the 500 badges, run dungeons until you have the 500 tokens you need. Those three things will get you a fair amount of gold, not to mention a big chunk of karma from the pvp. After that you can start farming gold/karma.

But keep in mind that you need around 700g ~ 1kg+ depending on the legendary you go for.

That’s 140hours invested just for 700g considering every solid hour earns you 5g.
Not to mention the waiting time inbetween and doing other stuff needed for the legendary and other ingame things in general (you won’t be farming day and night will you?), you’re looking here at over 200+ hours.

Just make sure you’re prepared for it and not sacrificing time you could enjoy doing something else, this quest will involve some nerves of steel.

AC explorable will be your best value for time.
use Omnomberry bars and make sure your in groups that dont skip bosses or champion mobs.

Omnom bar in Cof P1 a good group can clear in 8 min
and you make with the omnom 50-60s per run not including dungeon reward or drops.
there are 3 bosses in P1 and that 10-15 , 10-20 , an 15-25s each run.
So in your 2 hour play time window you could do 10-15 runs netting anywhere from 5-9 gold just in the silver drops i do this about everyday day till i have 120+ tokens just from P1 I usually find on average 3-5 cores 1-2 loadstones which sell if you dont want them. also with 120 tokens you can buy 4x rare helms from the CoF vender and either forge them or salvage, I usally save mine and buy 4 of the same exotic weapon and throw them in to the forge. gl either way CoF is the best use of your time as all the bosses that must die to complete the dungeon drop the aformentioned silvers thus you never have to worry about people skipping them.

But… But… But… The reason that I’ve never actually started doing it – is that Karma requirement. HOW do people grind karma… That is beyond my understanding~ That must be SO tedious and hard~ SUCH a monotony, that I give up before even trying xD

Grinding the pvp and dungeon badges gets you tons of karma, not sure if enough for the legendary though but it should be close. Doing occasional dailys and not missing the monthly achievements also gives a ton. The karma is basically automatic, it hardly requires any grinding.

Jugs of liquid karma – save them up, then use them with karma boosters from food, banners, gem store, etc. You can get over 7000 karma per jug this way.

Also, I would encourage you to follow your instincts on the TP.

I literally earned half of my Juggernaut in the past 7 days (about 450g worth) – and I never touched a snowflake or BL salvage kit.

Depending on what legendary you would want to make. If it involves something about charged lodestones….oh gawd…..it is not gonna be pretty.
Check what are the key things u need. Sometimes stuff like unidentified dyes drop and u might need to save it.

Get karma and other things that can be achievable first. Even ectos can be achievable slowly. Then worry about the other stuff

I feel sad to say that I have gone through well over 1 million karma and that wasn’t even trying to get anything, that was getting tired of skins and buying new ones lmao.

I only need 2 more runs of arah for the gift of zaiten and i have around 420badges, i also have 245 obsidian shards and have around 330k now so things are coming along nicely, im almost at the gold grind part now so thats why i asked :P

path 1:
queen, kholer, end boss = 15s x 3 = 45s
1 champ graveling in the tunnels, too much work for the 7s imo.

path 2:
queen, kholer, end boss = 15s x 3 = 45s
2 champ gravelings = 5s x 2 = 10s

path 3
queen, kholer, end boss = 15s x 3 = 45s
1 champ graveling = 5s

That is 50-55s per path x 3 = 1.6g without omnomberry, add 40% and you are on ~2.3g full run. Please explain how you manage 5g per run, because I would love to double my profit.

OP: at your current playtime set a realistic task of getting it done in 6 months. I base this from my experience where i play around 5-6 hours a day and expect to have it in around 2 and a half months but i made a killer spreadsheet and planned well my every step.

My advice: Farm at cursed shore(Shelter and penitent camp) avoid dungeons at all costs since you will have to depend too much on people which could hold you back (Unless you have a team of dedicated buddies)At this point i earn around 2-3g per hour there with the occasional exotic item. This will take a lot of patience and nerves of steel. The grinding will have to be strong within you
