Would I ever get anything meaningful? I mean i saw a guy on youtube put in 28 or so crafted exotic greatswords and got multiple different items (though i couldnt really see what they were)

I’m sure people has done this before but I wanted to confirm if there was a chance that I could get an exotic from doing this or if the game mechanic is set to only give me rares in return.

Also as a side question has anyone gotten ectoplasms from salvaging their crafted rares? Not sure if possible.

I have gotten plenty of ectos from salvaging my crafted rares.

As for the mystic forge, I don’t really like it too much so I can’t comment on putting stuff in there and “gambling”

Apparently there’s a roughly 20% chance to upgrade to the next “tier” of quality.

So 4 rares have a 20% chance to become an exotic.

4 Mastercrafts have a chance to become a rare.

4 Fine have a chance to become a Mastercraft.

You get the gist.

I used roughly 30 crafts and managed 3 exotics which net me double my gold return so I was happy. Named Exotics can fetch pretty pennies on the TC which a lot of people seem to miss.
