Guild Wars 2

I can salvage a level 12 Rawhide Vest just fine, but both 35 and 40 don’t work. Does this mean don’t buy those whose levels are divisible by 5? Or is there a different rule to it? Why can’t I salvage all of the levels?

Anything bought with karma cannot be salvaged. I think this is also the same for items bought with WvW badges. It’s intentional as far as I know.

When transmuting an item that can’t be salvaged with one that can, it should pick the salvageability of the one whose stats you pick. Or at least that’s how it seems to be working for me.
