I’m a high school student so I’m going to have some time this summer. I also want to get the Mjolnir hammer, but I’ve noticed how ridiculous the price is for charged lodestones. Honestly everything else in the recipe I basically have already so whatever about them. That said, will it be even possible to get 350 charged lodestones in 2-3 months? I prefer to play WvW and I don’t enjoy grinding but I guess there would be no choice. Yesterday I spent 700,000 karma on jewelry boxes and I didn’t get any cores or lodestones (1molten one). Also what would be the best way to go after this? Just earn up 1k gold and buy it all?

Earning gold to buy them will be the way to go. If you have any thoughts about farming I would suggest reading through some of the threads on charged lodestones, it typically isn’t worth your time. Running CoF will be the fastest way to get the money(I can get about 6g an hour but you can do better with an optimal party), it would amount to almost 2 lodestones an hour. It may be tasteless, but it gets the job done.

Depending on how much you play and what you enjoy doing, you could probably make 10-15g per day for 2-3 months. That would buy you your hammer. If you have alts, you could easly hit 2-3 runs of some of the faster dungeon paths with multiple characters. Especially if you can get a team of ppl with the same play times and general goals (making money) you can scream thru dungeons for cash. CoF P1 can be done in under 10-12 min (easily), SE path 1-3 can be run back to back in 25-35 minutes.

Each of those paths can be run on alts and if you did something like CoF1, SE1, SE3, swap to alt repeat, swap repeat. you could get 9 paths in under 2 hours. Well over 10g (more if you get lucky and snag some molten or destroyer lodestones, rares, etc)

There are other ways as well, map completion, union farming, world boss camping (helps to have a large guild spread across all the maps).

Will definitely be a large undertaking, but very doable. I would defiantly recommend swapping it up some as 2+ hours of back to back farming the same thing can be eye bleedingly boring. That is why I like to do multiple dungeon paths on alts, different scenery, different skills/roles, helps keep it fun. Anyway good luck.

If you get a minimum wage job ($7.25/hour assuming you live in the US) then at current gem to gold rates ($0.53 per gold), ignoring taxes, you’d be able to get 13.67 gold per hour if you spent all of your profits on gems to gold. If you make that a $10/hour job, you could afford 18.86 gold per hour.

If you get each charged lodestone at 2.8 gold, it will cost 980 gold total. So…

[(Charged Lodestone cost) * (Charged Lodestones needed)] / [(hourly wage) / (cost of 1 gold in USD)] = (Hours of work required)

(2.8*350)/(7.25/.53) = 71.64 hours

If we assume you work at that job full time (40 hours per week) it will take you less than two weeks to get the gold you need.

tl;dr – A minimum wage, full time job can pay for 350 Charged Lodestones in under two weeks.

Seeing how farming cof is far less enjoyable than working irl I think Enemy has given the best method, lol

Yes, it is POSSIBLE.

Yes very possible…..as long as you don’t play the game regularly. You either need to play tp (easiest and fastest utilizing tools out there) or grind something like cof p1 or something similar.

For a hardcore farmer (at least 4 hours a day) you can get it in a month and a half
