Is it worth buying recipes from the crafting trainers? For leveling?

Considering they cost karma and there currently aren’t many places to spend karma, I think so.

I was stuck at 390 jewelcrafting. I bought a recipe and an ecto, then used my crafting booster. All it took was one opal to get me from 390-400. 100,000 XP for that one item. It was worth the 390 karma.

For a while I believed that the purchased recipes were pointless since you can just google a recipe, but when I tried to make one of the recipes you had to buy for armorcrafting, it would not work. One of the items required would not show in the experiment panel :/

Any item that can be crafted from a recipe bought in game cannot be found through the discovery panel. It can only be learned by using that recipe.

I got to level 400 huntsman (never used a recipe), and then I bought a corrupted rifle recipe and tried using it, but it said I already learned it. I don’t understand…it’s not in the list of things I can make.

Also, sorry to hijack this thread, the internet says I need a shaman’s etched ____ to make the corrupted item, but I can’t seem to buy one from the shops. Is it something that I need to make?

Sad, I am the highest level crafting of huntsman, but I feel like I don’t understand any of it.

I didnt buy any recipes till 390 when discovering things gave me no exp. Bought one as a weaponsmith and between the inscription and discovery i got to 395. Was def worth it imo. probably wouldnt recommend it for low lvl items tho since its so easy to reach lvl till the late 300’s.

Agreed with Nanashi – certainly the max level (400 skill) items are worth-while, but anything before that probably isn’t. Unless it’s a rare dye recipe

I bought all recipes, way quicker for leveling up the crafting, and if you keep your level and your crafting side by side, stuff you could use for a fair amount of levels.

perhaps not at the lower crafting tiers. But once you hit 350 and above, a couple of the Rare recipies will gain you good exp and provide an item that pays for itself. The exotic recipies are a must have.
