Jewelcrafting asbolete
500 JC is 100% on it’s way eventually, maybe on April 16
The fact that they have 500 JCshows that there is going to be a use for the profession.
The obvious one right now is a way to make infused versions.
Right now we only have infused rings. We do not have infused amulets or accessories.
500 JC could involve us crafting components to put in the forge to make infused versions.
The other idea, which is a real stretch and just a nice idea to dream about, is to include visual improvements. Jewelcraft items are strictly for stat increases – there are no visual cues that you have an ascended over a fine item. If I recall, Colin said last September that they wouldn’t mind legendary dyes or other ways to make you character stand out. Well what if they made it so that jewelcrafting added shines/jewellery to you character? For example, refining a special Ruby component will help you install small ruby patterns on you shoulders? Or combine all these colorful components to create some impressive jewellery on your armor? This idea is a real stretch and unlikely to come to fruitition, but fun to think about.

Looking at the blog topics that are about to be released in the next days to get us excited for the feature patch, i cant really see cooking and JC 500 to be anywhere in there.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
Well, these are the major topic they want to discust. That doesn’t mean that they will only add 12 new things to the game and that’s all.
Also, this could fit nicely into the post ‘’Removing Restrictions’’.
But back on the topic. Everybody seem to miss the biggest use of Artificer right now. To craft dungeon recipes which can yield a LOT OF MONEY. Just not everybody can use that if you don’t get any recipe drop.

Nobody was talking about artificer…

DON’T RUIN MY DAY BRO!
My guild is moving server and i started cleaning out my guild vaults, posting all that jeweler crap at what i think it might be worth, once it hits.
Already more than 400g just in listing fees i had to pay and im not even half way done.

Surely you can afford an extra $30-$40 on another account?
That’s another 5 character slots, + 5 potential guild banks with 250 slots!

Well, i want to use this account to play wvw, so it had to move. But you are right, i could have bought a new account and park it on AG to keep my stuff in my vaults.
But its actually quite a liberating feeling to get rid of it all and start new. Those Orbs have been in there far too long…

Eh, I’m sure I’ve been holding them a lot longer than you have. Terrible, sunk cost. Of course, by the time I dump mine, they will have some use…

Don’t ruin my day bro, reminded me of that video Don’t tase me bro. Which is just what I felt like Wanze did to me when I seen that comment lol.

I bought ores, shards and ingots some time in september. I could take a screenshot of my purchases but dont feel like clicking “next page” for 1500 times to get into the middle of over 30k items bought.

It’s pretty clear from context that he meant jewelcrafter even though he wrote artificer, as jewelcrafting is the profession that allows you to craft dungeon recipes.
That said, I have probably averaged three dungeon runs a day over the past year and only had one recipe drop for me. That recipe was Ring of Blood, which used to sell for 2 gold and cost 200 tokens. Last I looked though it was at 50 silver, making it hardly worth crafting given I can buy an exotic to put in the Mystic Forge for 210 tokens.
500 JC is a thing.
Legendary Amulets are in the data
500 JC might be worth it alone to craft Ascended trinkets with an upgrade slot. I never underestimate how much min-maxers are willing to pay to tweak their stats for maximum effectiveness.
Ascended will come at some point in the future. In the meantime, I logged on for about 20 minutes over the weekend and made over 100 gold from this dead profession.

Put in low buy orders for crafting materials, craft item, undercut the lowest seller by 1c.
