Just got Kudzu, and was really bummed to see that it didn’t have the projectile effect for the ranger skill barrage. All my arrows are flowers, except the arrows for barrage. Thought that would be the coolest longbow skill to have kudzu for, seeing as the arrows all land in the ground, and look like flowers. Any chance this will be changed in the future?

I support this proposal purely for the fact that it would be awesome to see a flower field “bloom” when you use Barrage with Kudzu.

Heck yeah! Maybe we’ll get some love from the devs here soon. I can’t imagine them not doing this at some point. Seems like maybe they just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I’ve been wondering this for so long…every time I cast that skill.

I don’t own a ranger or Kudzu, but I would think people wouldn’t want a super obvious flower field screaming out “Hey guys, move out of this aoe” in WvW.

I’m assuming they want the field to show up as arrows hit the ground which is already to late. There’s already red rings as soon as the skill gets cast anyway.

Yeah, it already shows an animation for arrows, which fall and stick out of the ground, as well as the red ring.

Though this is wrong in that it’s already exceedingly obvious that it’s being fired, it brings up a point: it would make Barrage distinguishable from Arrow Cart attacks.

I imagine the reason it doesn’t change Barrage is because Barrage orobably has its own specific animated effect. Its not drawing the appearence of the arrows from the basic bow (or in this case, Kudzu) but is instead a set animation with its own set projectiles, not unlike something like Meteor Storm.

Mind you, they could specifically animate a special Barrage effect for Kudzu. But it wouldn’t just happen naturally, they’d have to go out of the way to do it (as opposed to other shots which I assume just draw from a stock arrow model, which can be changed by the bow).

Barrage could definitely use the golden spears/flower trails treatment.

A golden aura to stylized to match the dryad accents the around the player would rock, too (The other Legends have fresh auras, why not Kudzu?)

The flower fall particles off the bow could arguably also be a little more prominent.

It also puzzles me that if other players can hear Bolt/Dreamer/Quip/Predator’s sounds, why can’t they hear Kudzu’s birdsong effects?

+1 I dont own Kudzu and never plan to but for the poor under-powered longbow rangers out there they at least deserve this! Common anet be far lol.

I’m always up for some Legendary improvements.

I can confirm that they DO hear the birdsong. A lot of my friends say “Iverna’s here” before my model even culls in just because of the birds.
