Lack of Ancient Wood Log
Its because Ore is used in 5 crafting professions, wood only in 3.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
Ore is currently trading at one silver more than logs. So yes, there is only a slight imbalance, but it is in the opposite direction to that suggested by the OP.
Im not a big hoarder and i have 500+ of both and making something with it almost weekly. Dont just only gather it. Also salvage for it and sell the T5 on TP and buy T6 with the money. Within a week or 2 you’ll have 250+
To be fair, at least you don’t have it as bad as people wanting to craft cloth gear. Still pretty bad, but it could be worse.
Cursed Shore and Malchor’s Leap maps will each have 4 Ancient Wood spawns and 5 Ori node spawns.
SouthSun Cove will have two Ancient Wood spawns and 3 Ori node spawns one of which is in a fixed location
Frostgorge Sound will have 2 Ancient Wood Spawns and 2 Ori Node spawns.
These nodes will refresh every 24 hours.
The locations are subject to change depending on which megaserver map instance you find yourself on and whether there has been a server reset (patch day or prolonged empty of players map instance.
Gather these across a few alts every day and you will soon have enough ori and wood for your needs.
Kreen – Warrior L80, Mono Lith – Guardian L80
Higgsbosun – Thief L80, Silvron – Ranger L80.
do LOTS of salvaging. Relatively speaking, I get more ancient wood and ori ore from salvaging drops than I do from mining. Of course if I did both, I’d have even moar. Last week I was checking my bank and saw only 40 or so ori ores and about half that in wood. Since I’m pretty patient, I just left it and figured I’d go back to crafting to 500 on other characters when I get to it. Checked my bank a few days later, I almost had 150 ori ore and 80 wood or so. All I’d been doing was fractals, a few dungeons, map exploration, occasional world bosses, etc.
