Laurel Amulets- Infused version 16 feb
Confirming, would be nice to hear an official response on whether it is intended/overlooked or maybe the lack of time was the cause (judging by how non-triforged amulets weren’t acquirable for 20 days) and this issue was being worked on during those 20 days but they appeared to be insufficient.

It could have been a decision, not an oversight.
So why introduce them anyway? It’s called ascended, everyone and their mother would think it would have agony resistance recipe, no? They didn’t even mention it wouldn’t, so yes, it was an oversight on one level or another. Period.

Every single other piece of ascended gear is infusable. It stands to reason that the amulet should be as well.
I believe amulets will be infusable in the future (26th, maybe). I think Anet wants us to get AR slowly so we can get deeper into Fractals slowly, not rushing.

The infused versions are in the gw2db, so they exist. The two most likely possibilities are (1) the recipe isn’t activated yet but will be in a future update or (2) you upgrade them using a different mechanism than the mystic forge. My money would be on (1).
I just bought mine amulet.. Rly Anet? I did that stupid daily every day only because I want agony resistance on 40 and now this. Why you always forgot on such BASIC things?

I don’t know why this is such a surprise to everyone. On day one of the patch we knew the amulets were not upgradable for the time being. Those of us with the Triforge pendant posted on day one it was not upgradable to infused. Why in the world would you think the vendor’s amulet would be lmfao…./thread

A twofold reason: 1) Anet only really cares about the Korean market, as the game is aimed at heavy grind-festing over extremely long periods of time with low rates of return, and broken mechanics within everything from the UI (your target randomly drops for example), to mobs warping through the world.
2) Anet really could give a rats hairy kitten about issues within the game: To them it’s about making money, not making the customers happy. Ignoring disturbing trends and complaints among their customer base is simply the status quo. Overpromising and under-delivering is merely a day at the office.

My impression was they are looking to start moving away from Fractals. Its been there big baby for a long time. Now I imagine they are looking to move on and it was adding the ascended gear to a laurel/achievement vendor that gave me that impression.
