I accidentally just used my ascended shield recipe on an alt that does not have lvl 500 weapon smithing.
my question is: will that mean my crafting character will have to spend 5 more laurels to read the recipe or will that recipe, once read, be available to all characters?

The recipes, as all crafting, is character bound.
