I am considering going for a legendary. However, I am tempted to wait until new ones come out. Since there hasn’t been much said on the matter for the past few months, I am trying to figure out if the whole system is going to change or just the precursor. I have everything I need for my gift of mastery and perhaps in a few weeks I could get my gift of fortune. Is there going to be any changes to the common systems to all legendaries?

As Gift of Mastery and Fortune are shared requirements across all existing legendaries, I think they’re staying. If I were you I’d also work on slowly stockpiling the required planks and oris for the smaller Gifts of Metal and Wood, just in case. If they somehow take these out you can always sell them for a few dozen g. And save every type of lodestone or core that you find, you can never know which ones you’ll need.
