Legendaries gifts crafted from 400 to 500
uh huh, I see this going down well from all them people who are trying for a legendary.
^^ what he said, I’m not rushing to legendary but it would kitten me off to now have to work harder than those that used exploits and crap to get a pre and make a legendary weapon soon after release.
And if you planning to do this anet ! you dam better implement craftable precursors before you even think about implementing this crappy idea Titan has !

The question was brushed off in the Ascended weapon livestream as “we would still like to do that one day…” so, who knows.

Which pretty much translates into “expect to see that in ~5 years.”
That would be pretty uncool to change the benchmark for weapons that weren’t crafted before now. Making it harder for people who are crafting a weapon after September 3rd is a really horrible and stupid idea. Legendaries already have a lot more to them that keep them harder to obtain than ascended weapons.
+1 to this idea. You are going for a legendary weapon. How can you even start making something if you are not even a top tier weaponsmith? Oh I will just make this extremely delicate and rare weaponsmithing thing….while I am not even a grandmaster smith.

The gifts that we need to craft within crafting professions has to be upgraded from 400 to 500 in order to keep in line with the ascended weapons and the same stats. Lowering also the legendaries supplies and increasing their price and rarity.
Anet can’t upgrade legendaries skins without keeping the crafting gifts required in line with the new tier system.
Best part Anet, it requires to modify only one line of coding per gift to make the change. there are 3 days left before the update implementation : you have very enough time to do it : it’s all about balance and keep in line the legendaries with the ascended stats upgrade.

Ransom idea in MMO made me laugh hard… RL is much more rewarding this is only A GAME haha : considering this, then balancing everything is the way to go, there is not much more to say about it. Everyone can choose contributing in helping game to go right direction. Some will never do. like IRL about world itself…

As if crafting wasn’t expensive enough already, now I would have to spend gold on overinflated t6 mats just to get a gift which is expensive enough to make on its own?

Yeah, gifts that take T6 mats (crafting level 350-400) should require 500 crafting. That makes perfect sense with balance!
Sarcasm aside, your post is way off the mark. If new legendaries take in these materials that require level 450-500 to make, then it’d make sense. Considering how the system is in place atm and what materials are used as components, 400 crafting is fair and all that should be necessary.
