If I transmute a Legendary will it loose its purple text? Are rarities derived from stats or some behind the screen mumbo jumbo? So if I do loose the purple text when I transmute, is that working as intended?

yes you will lose it, yes rarity is derived from stats. not sure but I doubt its working as intended all the legendaries have the same stats,

toughness, vitalty, and power which you can get on other weapons.

oh rubbish. I thought as much, I really wanted berserker stats on it (9% crit damage is too good to ignore). Oh well I’m not getting mine any time soon so maybe by then.

Can’t be working as intended. Legendaries are supposed to be just another skin onto which you can transmute the stats you want. I can’t see it being intended for people to, in a sense, be stuck with the original stats. Purple text isn’t something people would want to give up after the grind of obtaining it, as silly as it may seem.

What meaning does the purple text on an item have when noone can inspect you and see that purple text? Are you going to link the item in the chat every 10 minutes so people can see you have more money then them?

btw it’s red, not purple

It’s white, blue, green, yellow, orange and red

But when someone links it in chat, it is purple.
