I have a thief, but would like to craft a non-thief legendary with her. Could I make one, put it in my bank, and then equip it onto another character of mine? Or is the weapon soul bound on acquire?..or are they even bound at all?

All Legendary weapons are currently soulbound, although ANet has indicated they may change it to account bound in the future. Still, to be safe I’d create the Legendary on the character you want to give it to.

all legendaries are soulbound on use, you CAN tranfer from one character to another before you equip but not AFTER you equip.

they are BOE even if the precursor had already been bound to the character that created it

i tested this around oct 17th or so with my sunrise: made on warrior sent via bank to a necro who could take it out of bank and put in invintory before sending back to warrior and equiping.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was just repeating what I read off the Wiki a while ago. They are account bound though, right? They must be, otherwise we’d see people selling Legendaries on the TP.

Sadly no they’re not. Recently had Bolt crafted for me from a buddy of mine and we tested it… you can actually send them through the mail. So much for being Legendary xD

Huh… That’s probably a bug if that’s true. Have you tried putting Bolt up on the TP itself?

Yes it can be sold, but the bug itself I believe is not being able to search for it on the trading post. I sent in multiple tickets before getting it crafted asking if you could trade/sell them and the only answer I got out of the three tickets was yes. It is what it is I guess, not so legendary :S
