Is there any way to level lock when crafting to stop gaining profession XP or reduce the rate at which it is gained?

I don’t believe so. Anet wanted it to be possible to level a character all the way to 80 by crafting if someone wished to do so.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I could not find a way to lock. Was hoping not to level myself out of content, especially personal story.

I don’t think Anet added this feature because down-leveling exists so there’s no risk of overleveling a zone or dungeon from crafting. And all PvP up-scales you to 80 so there are no level brackets.

There is no “outleveling” the content. Just go do your personal story when you are done crafting. The last character I leveled I crafted to keep up with my personal story.
