Hello, since i started my legendary “Twilight”, i got the gift of metal, the gift of darkness, gift of fortune mostly done, gift of mastery mostly done just need karma, and gift of twilight just need 100 gold.
but during the time i was farming that, i also crafted at least 500 greatswords (rare 80 ) to try my luck.

im still going to try but before i continue, my question is does MF affect the chance of looting dusk ?

If by MF you mean Magic Find then the short answer is no. There was confirmation long ago that magic find does not increase your chances at the Mystic Forge. Please don’t ask me to dig that up.
I wouldn’t know ‘when’ to start the search from.

If you just need 100g to finish your Twilight why bother with the forge? Seems like a waste to me. Craft the great swords and sell or salvage for ectos, then sell the ectos. Will make 100g go by a lot faster.

Magic find is only for mob drops.. It does not work on chests or the Mystic Forge.
