Does anybody know where to find one?

I was on the verge of doing this myself a few days ago – just drawing up a rough map and marking each place I find one until I get all the potential points – but it occurred to me that someone else must have thought of it already by now, so I figured I’d ask before going to the effort.

In my experience, the veins and saplings seem to change every other day. I remember spotting an orichalum vein near the Claw in Frostgorge and an ancient sapling at the top of the jump puzzle, but they didn’t respawn after a day or so after harvesting.

I think the placement is too random to really come up with a potential map for them and that’s just on one map. Doing it for two maps would be worse. Frostgorge it’s almost not worthwhile as I think they’re all in the NE of the map.

The only things I’ve really noticed is that:

  • I’ve never seen any that spawn in the SW corner of Malchor’s
  • they spawn all too frequently in the Scavenger’s Chasm jumping puzzle (orichalcum only)

I know it’s fairly random, I just meant so that I could basically move across the zone from one (potential) node to the next, not missing any. I doubt they’re predictable enough to actually know where each one will be, though, but at least having a decent ‘run’ set up between all of the places would be nice.

I guess I might end up just making one. Or at least, marking them down for a while. If there’s like 100 places in each map it would become meaningless, but I’ve found a few that have been repeated already in only a few days, so I’m guessing it’s not quite so drastic.

It seems that the nodes are changing when the build is updated (or at least that is my experience) personally it is driving me nuts that I have to search all over some fairly unforgiving maps I have alreadt ckeared to 100% status over and over again just to find some very scarse ressources.

I understand why the devs are trying to keep the amount of end-game crafting ressourses in semi-short supply, but in my oppinion this seems to be working well the the gem stones, blodd vials etc and ectoplamas there seems little need to also restrict the base ressources of orichalcum and ancient wood to these very very low amounts of daily random node respawns only to force us to grind the 10-15 nodes there is available each day just to keep up with what you need when you also grind blood vials, claws, ectoplams etc etc.

So in short, ease up a bit on these ressources, it’s getting a tad too grindy, just a tad.

Let me asnwer you:
There are 5 Ori nodes in Cursed Shore, 5 in Malchol’s Leap and 2 in Frostgorge Sound.

The locations of Ori nodes are changed every week (patching day).

The respawn time on each of them is 4 hours, but it’s currently bugged.

The locations of Ori nodes are different for every server.

Apparently after last patch they added a 4th ancient wood sapling in cursed shore. Still found only 3 in malchor’s. Anyone else got some observations on ancient wood saplings ?
