If I’m completely off base here, I’ll ask it be deleted or changed or something. Also, sorry about the thread title, I had to shorten it up to fit.

TL;DR I forged a precursor (The Lover) from 4 junk exotic mixed weapons that were all less than level 80 last night

Long version: I’ve been saving up my less than level 80 exotics I get from Orrian zone completing, and I got 4 armors and 4 weapons. They were all mixed types (including a focus and spear). I use the MF for all my greens, but I’ve never put exotics in it.The levels were all 70-78.

So last night I start with the 4 armors and get Devona’s Chestguard and thought, well that was kitten sweet. I did the 4 weapons next and got The Lover and couldn’t believe my luck. TP has it at 600g top buyer. Has anyone else gotten a precursor with only 70-79 exotics of mixed type?

Can’t find the source atm, but if I recall correctly, it was confirmed that precursors can be forged with rares or exotics level 76+. That number may be a little off, but I think you can definitely get it with exotics under level 80 .

Interesting… Were they all lower 70’s? Maybe the forge calculates an average level and uses that when deciding what it can spit out?

Again, not too solid on that 76. If they were all 70-72 or so, that would be a bit surprising to me. Either way, good to know.

If it’s capable of rolling a level 80 exotic it’s capable of rolling a precursor.
