Do you guys think it would take longer? Would you be happy wielding one of the rarest items in the game that nobody on your server might even have? Could you accept that it’s not a legendary?

Personally I am thinking of skipping legendary’s and going for Mjolnir for my Guardian although those charged lodestones are going to be pain haha.

Does anyone have one of those and is willing to say how long it took them to make it vs a legendary?

And feel free to comment and agree/disagree with me for going for one of those and not a legendary. But in the end it’s personal preference I suppose.

In the end, if u like 1 skin more than a leggendary I would say go for it; it’s just a matter of cosmetic.

I agree since these are only cosmetic things if you like one more than the other then go for it. Also i don’t think having people say how long it took them to get it will help very much. This is because the main cost of the weapon is the charged lodestones which you will have to buy so it really depends on what your play style is. If you farm cof and/or coe then you will get it a lot faster than a wvw player. At the current time charged cost 3 gold each and you need 350 so that’s 1050 gold.

Well.. All Legendaries will have Ascended stats sooner or later, exotic not, also I think Mjolnir is the most overpriced item and hurts my eyes, it should be ~350 gold instead 1050 like other Elementalist weapons-skills.

Personally speaking I went with Infinite Light on my guardian instead of Bolt because it kinda looks better for a guardian IMO.

Optionally you can put a buy order on a legendary for what they cost(more or less because of RNG on clovers) and it might get filled.

How long it will take for you to farm for them will depend on how you earn your gold. If you flip items and you’re lucky you can cash in really fast (like sentinel mats, f&f dyes).

But if you’re CoF farming you’ll just have to compute how many hours it will take for you to get 1kg+.

You’ll also see more Legendary items in the future and an update to our existing Legendary weapons. Legendary items were always intended to be on par with other “best-in-slot” items. So fear not, all existing Legendary weapons, which are currently on par with Exotics, will be upgraded to be on par with Ascended weapons at the same time that we add Ascended weapons to the game. Thus Legendaries will remain “best-in-slot” items. All Legendary items going forward will be of Ascended power.

Well, u know probably those leggendary will be transmuted into other stats, cuse having soldier ascended in it won’t make up for being soldier xD, and so u can do that into Mjolnir too, when u’ll drop/buy an ascended hammer, so NP!

I like it alot for roaming in WvW and as for PvE full zerk with Right Hand Strength hits like a truck with spammable blind/ranged block.

And of course it looks kittening good with human heavy t3 XD

It would take roughly the same amount of gold to make it. maybe a couple hundred less, but it definitely isn’t that rare.

Izaya, that does look kitten sexy. One of my favorite focus skins there too!

I wanted to get two Infinite Light’s but there just isn’t any class that will use both of them frequently. Only Mesmer and Warrior can dual wield them and they’re not all that great.

Same thing with Mjolnir.

Now if there was a skin similar to Mjolnir/Infinite Light for, say, staff or GS – I’d definitely get it.

do what makes you happy. it doesn’t really matter who has it or how many has what you have if the real value lies in how you like it. what are the odds you’d run into someone with bolt on your server as opposed to infinite light? i know on ET, i have yet to see an infinite light and the only other person with bolt is my friend and we crafted them together on the same day.

i was going to craft infinite light at some point, but to avoid the grind for the next BiS weapon, i made bolt instead. i’m very happy with it, since i paired it up with FSP and they look amazing together on my guard.

now if there was a lightning-themed gs, i’d be all over that too…i settled for the foefire gs until something new that i like is released.

@OP, go for it! : ))) i’m a Guardian as well and currently grinding for Mjolnir also. it’ll take a while. it’s BEEN taking a while already, but can’t wait to get it. : )))

and i’m semi-working on other legendaries (Rodgort for starters, then maybe Twilight, Flameseeker) as well as i keep playing. no hurry though. i can guarantee it’ll be just as satisfying when you get ’em!

I have Infinite Light on my thief (S/D before it was cool). I choose that over Bolt because I liked the look better and I knew it would be more rare.

As for the ascended weapon thing with respect to auto powerup w/ a legendary…

Yeah that’s a sacrifice, but I’ve gotten full ascended jewelry with my main, and I pretty much play 6 days out of 7 so I figure when the ascended weapons come out, I’ll get it and transmute it, no problem.

On the flip side, I have the stats I want on the sword instead of PVT since I’m rolling exotic instead of Legendary.

PS Izaya, that is one BA look for your guardian, the Chalice focus thing is an excellent touch.

Grats. I’m working on Infinite Light too for my Guard. I have over 100 of the lodestones but its still a hell of a slog.

Just remembered a major downside to Infinite Light.

The icon for your inventory is a lame standard sword.

So there you are trying to switch back from D/P or D/D or something to a S/x kit before you get back into combat and you equip some junk blue sword by accident!

Booooo, fix it Anet!

Also, might be cool if the glowing runes started to glow when you draw the sword instead of on all the time.

invisible bag can help. i keep all consumables and gear swaps inside invisible bags and have the last bag slot hold the invisible bag itself. everything i need is currently at the bottom of my inventory no matter how many times i press the deposit collectables + sort button

jug vs mjol = make em both!

use 1 as stacking weapon and the other as normal weapon
