I just want to know if there’s any rumor or post from Anet, that ascended equips other than ring and back item, may be infused through the mystic forge in the future too?

The thing is, right now I’m in the process of making an ascended rifle, and plan to transmute another skin onto it. If they do make weapon infused-able in the future, I would have wasted my time and effort since transmuted item can’t be used in mystic forge, so right now I wanna make sure of the facts before I continue :/

Errr…you could always use a Transmutation splitter if that happens.

I don’t really see them doing that as there would need to be infused legendaries then as well, which would just be bizarre. Adding hardcore content that needs even more AR appears to go against the game design Without that new AR gated content the AR on any ascended armor is going to be redundant as well.

Looks like the next update IS going to alter infusions and AR a bit, but since I’m not 100% how it works NOW, I’m certainly in no position to comment on the Nov 26th changes.

The next set of changes only affects Rings and Backpieces at this point. However, it’s not out of the question that other Ascended items MAY get Infused versions introduced at some point in the future too.
