So who wants to write down every recipe that they bought from the vendor. Why isn’t there an option to let us know what we already bought?! At the moment we can buy the same recipe twice and of course, we cannot resell the recipe to get our karma back.

Suggestions:

1) Grey out the recipes that we have already bought or change their color
2) Erase them from the vendor as we buy them
3) Give us a filter that allows us to see them all and see only those we have not bought yet
4) (not my fave but it should be implemented with one of the first 3) Give us back our Karma ONLY if we try to resell a recipe within a time frame like 5 minutes or so…

I dont know about you, but if I mouseover above recipes I already own, it tells you so.

I didn’t check that. Either way, it’s not a very practical way to do it if you ask me.

They didn’t use to be soul bound, and I think they’re looking into making them account bound instead, so it may be intended that you can buy a recipe you already know for another character on your account.

I found the big red tooltip to be pretty effective at keeping me from buying duplicates.

Let’s not forget our color blind and dyslexic brothers and sisters. Personally, I’d like an option to have some kind of a filter.

The text that reads “You already know this recipe” on mouseover has been more than sufficient for me.

I wouldn’t mind having a filter on every vendor to filter out stuff I can’t use and stuff I can’t afford. I’d rather see more advanced searching on the TP first though.

I would put your suggestion over in the suggestions forum with a more descriptive title. It might get more attention that way.

Speaking of recipes, does anyone know of a place where I can find a list of what NPCs, and their locations, that sell recipes? I want to learn every cooking recipe but seem to be having an issue locating them all.

I am in the bandwagon of adding a filter to filter out already purchased recipes or at the very least the ability to sell them back to the vendor within a certain time limit, even if we lose a bit of karma, still better than the full karma loss. I have accidently bought duplicates several times now with no option but to just toss it away.

The best way to do it imo would be like buying skills and most crafting recipes in wow for example where instead of giving you an item it just automatically adds it to your recipe book and removes it from the vendor so you can’t buy it again on that character. This should be how it is done anyway since as far as i can tell the recipes are soul bound (not account) so you can’t give them to one of your alts for example.

That’s a good point. Filtering out items that you cannot use would also be awesome!
