Q:
Moving Legendaries.
A:
Equipment needed: 1 Legendary weapon (we shall use a Bitfrost for this demonstration), 1 white staff, 1 transmutation crystal and 1 transmutation splitter.
1. Transmute your Bitfrost to the white staff using the transmutation crystal thus making it account bound.
2. Transfer the new account bound weapon and the transmutation splitter to your other character trough your bank.
3. Use the transmutation splitter with the white staff on your new character to regain its legendary stats and properties and making it soulbound in the progress.
Does it works with ascended back items?

If you can find a white back item.
Has anyone actually done this and can provide proof? Screenshots of each step would be preferred.
Can i still change the state of legendary weapon when out of combat after this method??
It’s super important!!
Is the “new-getting-back” legendary still capable of changing its state (such as PPC, PTV) when I needed??
I have done this process with Sunrise and yes you can still change the stats of the weapons when out of combat afterwards.
It would be so cool if i can still have the all functions of legendary weapon provided!
Thank you!

If you use the transmutation splitter it will be the exact dame legendary weapon with all of its properties that it had before transmutation.
When you use the transmutation stone on the legendary and the white item, do you then have to choose the skin of the legendary or the skin of the white item? Or doesn’t it matter at all?
Also, is there any statement whether ANet sees this as an exploit?

You choose the skin of the legendary and stats of the white item. And part of the reason why Anet made splitters was so that people could move their legendaries and other valued skins around. Not going to bother looking for any red posts on that due to the forum search engine being what it is.
