Can someone explain the mystic forge to me like I don’t speak English? I do not find myself to be one of the players adventurous enough to just go for it, nor one of the ones rich enough that I can just throw whatever I want into it.

Is the Forge good for anything but creating the legendaries?
If I put in 4 green daggers, do I have a chance for an exotic? Is it a decent enough chance that I should do that instead of vendoring?
Whats WORTH doing in the Forge, as far as the ‘gamble’ factor?

Yes, the forge has many uses besides legendaries. There is plenty of documents things you can do with it in the wiki, i suggest reading that.

No, 4 green daggers will not get you an exotic, if you are lucky it will spit out a rare, but you’ll probably just get another green

But four rares can give you an exotic, so keep all your greens and yellows to throw into the gamble fountain. I’ve gotten two exotics this way so far.
