Probably a question asked a lot, but hey after a quick look through I didn’t see it definitively stated. I’m simply overflowing with Ascalonian Tears and wondered if I could simply purchase four of the same shield (going for The Chosen for The Flameseeker’s Prophecy) and throw them in? Or do they need to be mixed/different stat-wise?

It doesn’t matter what item you are throwing to mystic toilet. Mystic Forge’s script checking first Type and and Rarity.

Let me explain.

Throwing in same exotics like greatswords ( with same or diffrent stats, it doesn’t matter ) give better chance since you’ll 99.9% will get an exotic greatsword back ( with %0.1 chance you can get a rare item ), you’re just playing the “which exotic greatsword will i get?” game.

Putting in diffrent exotic items ( mixed like – shield + sword + focus + staff ) will have you playing 2 gambling games, “Will it go to exotic with 99.9 chance ?” and then “Which item will i get?”.

they don’t have to have the same prefixes/suffixes. as long as the item type and tier are the same, you can throw in any 4 sets of rare or exotic shields you like.

Thanks for the help! Didn’t get The Chosen but did score around 16g from 6 failed attempts, so I’ll consider that a win for now :]

thats good dolan i throw about 20G in exaudic great swords and yealed 2 breath of flames.
ohh and Karma wepons work as well if your looking for an alternative but their rare not exaudic.
