As Exotics are lvl 60 – 80 and rares are lvl 30 – 80 can I get an exotc from throwing 4 lvl 30 rares into the mystic forge or is it only possible from lvl 60 – 80 rares?

I don’t think you’ll get an exotic by throwing 4 lvl 30 rares.
Since exotic are lvl 80, you might need lvl 76-80 rare for a small chance getting exotic.

Exotics are lvl 60 – 80 according to wiki and in trading post you can find exotics from lvl 62 up.
So anyone knows if you can get exotics from mystic forging low lvl rares?

Those Lvl 60 exotic are because of the superior rune that been socketed inside.
I don’t know if you can get them by throwing Lv60 rares, since mostly came out being a lvl 68 above rare or lvl 76-80 exotic.

I’ve done lots of experimenting and I know how to get any desired level of exotic.

You should experiment also.

I’m not sure what happens if you put level 30 rares in. My assumption is you never get an exotic back, but you can’t know if you don’t try. Very few people are doing this, so I doubt you’ll get a better answer.

Yea, not many people invest massive low level rare & hope for low level exotic.
The chance of getting back exotic isn’t high too.

Are you saying rares become exotic by putting in exotic sigils/runes?! =D I slot in superior rune/sigil for my lv60+ alts, doesnt make them exotic. The only lv60+ exoric i got was from a mob drop.
