Mystic Forge + Lowlevel = ????

My weaponsmith is level 62, but i want to put level 80 items into forge to try for a precursor, i was wondering if i put items into the forge at my level is it still possible to get a precursor or will i have to transfer items to a level 80 character before putting them into the forge.

crafting lvl and mystic forge have no relation. Only the level of the material you put in matters.

sorry, i mean my character level is 62 (my weaponsmith is actually level 400).
