Q:
Mystic Forge, Unknown recipes?
Possible, but highly unlikely. People have thoroughly experimented the combinations.
and style to turn them into craters and dust.” -Tonn
Number-crunching for ecto salvages – periodically updated
Whilst the idea does intrigue and excite me, the answer is no.
Back when the game released, people (I believe it was gw2db) went through all the gw2.dat files and found everything, all the weapons, armor ect.
But, if there were stuff hidden, that would be awesome, sayyyy, 4 legendaries and you get a ultimate one haha, like the dreamer + the hunter + twilight + the minstrel and you get a rifle that shoots twilight unicorns that sing songs HAHAHAHAHA!
Well there are still some weapons which are unobtainable/method unknown? Such as http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Reaper_of_Souls
Gave a +1 to all three of you guys, i kinda agree with all of you, it is unlikely but possible, let’s see what the future brings us and let’s hope to see some new awesome mystic forge recipes
Until then have fun guys and if you come across any new recipe post it here ;p
I am still not aware how these come into existence. The first one is a karma-bought item, and that’s fine. The second link, however, leads to a similar item with no traces behind it. I’ve spent some time trying to find a recipe or a drop spot. I believe there isn’t one. Still, there are more than a few on the TP. The best guess I’ve seen out there is that you get it by MFing any Lv 80 amulets, with a slight chance to get the rabbit’s foot. And, of course, a very specific drop, from a certain mob/place is also possible.

Post moar GW2 mysteries, please!
you can pull all data from GW2 API tho it is not very convenient. I also think that gw2db has all possible and not possible recipes.

IIRC 300+ recipes have not been used in the forge since launch. Will search for source but guildies where talking about it.

The API only includes “discovered” items so that might not be too helpful.
a list of all items discovered by players in the game
Post moar GW2 mysteries, please!
Indeed Keep these mysteries coming, as far as i know and i might be wrong, but in the first 3/4 months after the game went live no one knew about infinite light(1h sword) some1 had do discover it until then it was still a mysterie
One thing that i think that might be well possible but i don’t have all the resources to test it out, is that since most lodestones have at least a mystic forge recipe that makes these nice weapons like infinite light they require 250lodestones and i’ve checked wiki and there are some lodestones that don’t have a 250lodestone recipe on the mystic forge yet, for example – glacial lodestone and corrupted lodestone – but there are recipes for 250 lodestones such as the crystal/charged/onyx
This ^ has been cracking my brains, and i will not rest until i find something :p

You don’t have to buy all the lodestones, since the MF will tell you you need some more in quantity, the recipe will still be shown. As long as you associate the materials with the proper dungeon Gift. Which is the tricky part, since some tokens are a pain.
^Ranica, i know but when i said i don’t have all the materials i was talking about orichalcum(hilts, blades etc)
i know i only need 1 of these for a test but anyways i don’t have any money at all working on it, and aswell like you said some unknown may need more than that like gifts for legendarys that’s is what is hard :p
