Mystic forge question. After hearing a bit of conflicting info I am keen for an authoritative answer on this. If I use 4 major runes/sigils/crests of the same type, am I guaranteed (or even more likely) to receive a rune/sigil/crest or medallion or the same type?
I sense the answer is no, but I haven’t actually been breaking up my stacks in order to flush the stuff of the same variety. Any bona fide answer welcome

Putting in 4 Major Runes will give you back a Rune with an estimated upconvert into a Superior Rune at 20%. The returned rune will be random even if you put in 4 of the same runes.
Putting in 4 Major Sigils will give you back a Sigil with an estimated upconvert into a Superior Rune at 20%. The returned sigil will be random even if you put in 4 of the same sigils.
Putting in 4 Crests will give you either a random Crest or a random Orb (Ruby orb/Emerald Orb).
20% is what general consensus is but RNG is RNG. Example, I did 9 tries with greens yesterday, got 0 rares. The other day I tried 5 times, got back 4 rares.
A few days ago, I put in 4 major sigils of bloodlust, and got back 1 superior sigil of accuracy. So if you put in 4 of the same, they won’t necessarily be the same type when you upgrade them.
