Hi,

I read that if you combine 4 armor of the same type (say 4 green level 70-80 Leggings) you’re bound to get a Leggings out of it (higher level, with a chance at Rare or Exotic?). But what about combining 4 different types of armor (Helm, Chest, Legs, Shoulder)? Is it random what I would get? And is there a better chance of upgrade with 4 of the same type?

Same is SUPPOSED to return same type, same rarity or a chance of better.
Different is SUPPOSED to return random type, same rarity or better.
However, it has been reported, on more than one occasion, that the Forge will sometimes demote items, return a torch for 4 rifles, or sometimes give nothing in return.
