Guild Wars 2

I love wowhead.com. It is simply amazing. Sadly guildhead.com still has A LOT to reach that level, or be even remotely near it as far as I’m concerned.

My first character (my main) … I did some not so smart stuff. I stayed in zones I outgrew and then skipped zones because I was too high level. Now I’m missing crafting components and I’m broke. I’d like to farm them when I have time (I play maybe 5 hours a week).

I’d like a site where I can just search for the items and I’d get links to where to farm them rather than post for every one.

Again, I find guildhead.com unhelpful. I apreciate someone saying where I will find some mobs, but if it’s not with a link to a picture (map) it’s useless information for me. I don’t have the time to get creative and ask for help every time.

You really cant take a few extra minutes to search the wiki or google where it shows it tells you the location of the mobs. You want pictures?

There’s a button at the top of this website that says “WIKI”. It’s a work in progress, but you should try that.

there is a command in game to type /wiki
and then whatever you are searching for and it will bring up the corresponding wiki page.

Thank you for the wiki. But I wanted to say, do you even get what 5 hours a week means ? I’m guessing: “No”

I think many people get what 5 hours a week means. I spent 1/300th of that amount of time to arrive at this page: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting_materials

I then tested the results by randomly selecting Engraved Totems, and used that link to arrive at: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Engraved_Totem

That page told me I should go to Timberline Falls and kill Grawl.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, maybe there’s something I don’t “get” from your initial post – but there, in a moment of time, is the answer you’re looking for? I would imagine?

It is that hard to type /wiki “title of material”

It even opens up the web browser for you, since it seems you dont even have enough time to open that yourself.

Well thank you for trying. Maybe I’m just a bit stuck because wowhead.com was just so good. I suppose this will do, just not what I was hoping for (at all)

Can’t believe you’re moaning because someone hasn’t given up their precious free time to create something more in-keeping with you’re expectations…

What’s even the point of playing a game if you not only want to know what type of enemy in what area you should kill for an item, but the exact build and route that you should mimic? At that point you’ve taken away even that little bit of fun that can be had from farming.

guildhead seems pretty dead, and it seems that there’s no one there to fix anything wrong with the site.

So, I’ve switched to gw2db.com.

It’s very similar, and has all the stuff that you’re looking for.
