After receiving a few vials of condensed mists essence I was compelled to make my ascended item, so I started farming for Powerful Blood off of trolls and articus’s at the Trionic Lattice in Frostgorge sound. Using full MF gear, Sigil of superior luck, and a magic find booster, I was at around 180% MF. So I farmed for a full hour and these are my results.
3xPowerful Blood
30x Potent Blood
5x large fangs
3x large claws
5x Vicious claws
2x Ancient Bones
15x Powerful Bones
And random greens/blues/and 1 rare axe

How do these results feel to the community? Just looking for some input if this is fairly standard. Considering you need 250 level 400 crafting material for an ascended item this feels highly inadequate while farming at such high magic find.

So you got a minimum of 1 valuable item per minute not including the greens, blues and the rare? Id say thats acceptable. What are you expecting? Ive had an hour where I got 10 poerful bloods and then Ive had an hour where I got 1. I think those results are fine considering you could just sell the other stuff and buy whatever mats you need to make up for the lack of drops.

Call me crazy but I simply expected more at that high of magic find is all. shrug

Bad news for you, thats close to what i get and i do not farm, my sessions run 4 times a week roughly 2 to 3 hours, mostly 2 hours, but i visit a few puzzles i like and run a few kills in Wv3 in that timeframe aslo (my bulk), about 6 maps maybe more, i do not sit and mass kill anywhere unless i get rooted and swarmed while traveling. I skip from area to area.

You have a few pieces more and slightly differing t6 items, my route and mobs are no doubt different. Your sample total is not much considering your farming gear. There are a few threads of boxers laying out a list of their couple hour farm sessions in ORR and taking in hundreds of high level mats at over 200% MF and more (i do not know if it is possible). Personally i cant stand farmers or game mechanics made around them or for them.

I use a quick magic find food when i hit a jump puzzle with mobs, otherwise, i do not use MF.

Maybe you should try to move around more and test that for a while and see if the DR is any less compared to moving from map to map, keeping your killing and target level range within reason for the mats you want.

This reads to me and profit on the TP. Not sure if you see it but I see it.

Results look fine to me. From my understanding from the recent MF post if you are expected get a blood for example mf ups your chances to get the higher tier. It doesnt lock you in. Also you are farming the wrong location now. Go to the new island for powerful blood shelks drop blood like crazy there.

Also heard they somehow nerfed the trolls quite some time ago.

Its not Diablo guys you cant expect rare drops from every mob with high MF

180%MF is still not the highest possible. You can easily get it higher so I would say it’s a great outcome.

Better than I expected. How many Powerful Bloods is that if you convert the other mats/drops into them via trading post?
