Guild Wars 2

Just started the game about 4 days ago and now that I’ve gotten my bearings (mostly) towards the game, I’d like to start investing time into professions. I have a pretty good idea for each class that I’m using, except my Engineer. I honestly don’t know what would suit that character best. Any ideas?

on my Engineer I went with Leatherworker and Huntsman. I miss out on making shields, but everything else my character uses I can make from scratch and keep up on it as I level. With Leatherworker you can of course keep your armor up to date, and Huntsman will allow you to make your Rifles and Pistols. If you really need a shield, just buy one someone else made.
