What stuff have you guys got from your boxs?

I spent 900k karma in total (and respending the karma earned through them) and got:

• 7 Mini Risen Priest of Balthzar’s
• 1 Charged Potion (Tonic)
• 74 Obsidian Shards (155k karma value)
• 50g in Lodestones (selling them straight up because of the crashing price)
• 5g in Unidentifiable shards.

How do you guys feel about Lodestones now crashing in price because of the easy karma:gold ratio and do you feel the box price should be increased?

I, for one, am incredibly glad that lodestones are crashing. I’ve been staring down the barrel of 100 Charged Lodestones for my Meteorlogicus for a long time now… at 4g a piece, 400g total, it just didn’t seem possible. So I will certainly be taking advantage of this…

I started with about 150k karma and, respending the karma I got from the boxes, went down to about 0. I didn’t do an exact count, but I did get the Balthazar mini pet, 2 Corrupted Lodestones, 1 Charged Lodestone, 1 Glacial Lodestone, 1 Destroyer Lodestone, and all the unidentifiable shards. Made about 6.5g in total, and that was with keeping the Charged Lodestone for my legendary. I very much hope they don’t hit these boxes with the nerf bat… it gives you something worthwhile to do with your karma once you’ve spent all you need to on Obsidian Shards.

120K karma. Bought 23 boxes IIRC. Got enough karma to get more and more and so on. Ended up buying an opening a total of 51 boxes.

2 onyx lodestones, 7 obby shards, and 76silver worth of the vendor trash item. All in all about 4g.

Bzzzzzt wrong. All karma boosters except outmanned buff affects all karma food.

It seems to be a semi-karma gambling thing, But the chances of earning your karmas worth or more is much higher then it should be. You probably had bad luck.

I made ~80g off this(4 80s, ~800k each), plus another ~15g from the junk you can resell.

Opened 286 boxes, with the following results-

Lodestones where hard as kitten to effectively work for. And mostly revolved around farming gold to buy them at an ever increasing price. While karma was stacking up and collecting dust.

Now they took karma and gave it a purpose again, and at the same time made lodestones something you can work for. Or atleast more affordable.

The obsidian shards are account bound- what am I supposed to do with them?

I guess lodestones are not since you guys are selling them? i only got obi shards and vendor stuff so I have no idea really and no more karma

you can use them for mystic clovers recepies, legendary weapon and some other MF stuff I didn’t tested yet.

Glad to see you can get lodes from them. I got all my clovers and 250 shards for my legendary already so any karma I got would be wasted.

Well I bought about 20 of them yesterday and even with no karma boost the return of karma is quite substantial (wonder if ANet nerfs this?). While I did not have luck with charged lodestones I got quite a few of other ones which gave me about 10g profit straight away.

Note: I got all lodes from boxes I bought from temple merchant, normal karma merchant boxes gave me only trash and karma vials.

What I find really interesting is that this allows you to easily move karma from one character to another in the form of the liquid vials.

My main had a ton of karma that she had no use for while I’m saving karma on one of my alts for cultural weapons.
