Not to discourage your suggestion, but you realize the other option is to NOT make ingredients until you plan to use them for final items, right?

Yes, but it is harder to discover new recipes if you don’t have all the possible ingredients handy. (I know you can go to the web and look them up, but I think it is more fun to discover them myself)…
+1, love food crafting but it is easy to use a vast amount of storage space for this profession. Agree, if are just using the discovery window to try and create new recipes it makes it a lot harder unless you have those sub components assembled.
De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum.
Definitely a good idea, and I highly doubt it’d cut into AN’s profit margin, so they should definitely do it. No one is gonna buy extra bag slots just for those certain cooking materials that don’t get added to collectible bank.

I’ve got four bank tabs dedicated solely to intermediate cooking ingredients.
I made a big checklist in Word of all the possible cooking recipes. I then checked off each item as I discovered/learned it, crafting only whatever intermediate ingredients I needed for each discovery.
Whenever I make dishes, I check to see if its description states that it’s an intermediate ingredient. If it does, I save it in my bank for later. If not, I eat it/sell it.
