Parsley and Walnuts not in creation panel?
Carrots don’t display either. I’m a level 400 chef and it’s been quite infuriating trying to craft things and not being able to use certain items.
For the most part, as I understand it, if it doesn’t show up in creation, you have a all the recipes for that item. This can be easily tested with a jeweler or any smith class. For example, carrots aren’t in creation, but are used for stewed vegetables and similar items that are auto-added to your recipe list. Walnuts and parsley probably have similar situations.
What I understand from my own experience is, Ravien is correct. Once an ingredient was used for all the discovered recipes it could be used in, it disappears from the creation slots.
When I first looted Walnut, I opened up Discovery tab and the nuts didn’t show up. Thought it’s weird since I only have Dye recipes use Walnuts that passively learned from leveling up the cooking skill. Normally I don’t rely on Wiki just to make the Discovery system fun, but this time I looked it up. So far, I see they are used in few recipes from Karma vendors around the world.
So, my conclusion, unless it IS broken, they are just not in any Discovery recipe.
The only other recipe I’ve seen for walnuts was nut bread, and I think that’s purchased from a heart karma vendor somewhere. It seems weird now that walnuts are raining from the trees, but I guess it will get me started on my dye making.
He might start thinking he knows what’s right for you.

If an ingredient does not show up in the Discovery panel, it means that there are no more recipes to be discovered that uses that ingredient. For example I have no more recipes that require carrots, celery, apples, strawberries, etc because I have discovered them all (some don’t seem to have any discoverable recipes at all like yeast).
