I was wondering if you have any planes with the pile of putrid essence rares. I was checking out the tradingpost toay and noticed, that their price is basicly down the toilete, and only used for some runes and a sigil. are you planing to do anything with it in the future (for example making mystic forge recepies for it or sg), because as i see, right now there is no real use of it…

Isn’t it technically a Lodestone? It gets put in with them when you deposit them. Would be neat to find some undead-themed weapon recipes in the Mystic Forge. Or perhaps Exotic recipes for Weaponsmithing.

Like the Corrupted and Destroyer weapons.

They won’t reveal that information because it would have an adverse reaction on the market for that item.

They could very well be a new use for that item since it has limited use and it’s a rare quality drop. It’s also much easier than coding new crafting materials in future expansions.

As an act of self-disclosure, I have 40g worth of piles in the bank, hoping value will skyrocket. It’s a very safe investment.

I should also add, which I said months ago, is that you need to look at Arenanet’s past actions.

Shortly after release they made a temporary recipe to adjust for huge supply on the outpost. The materials you got could later be used to build Mystic Forge Nodes. They could do the same here.

They also didn’t control the supply of cinnamon or walnuts.

And even if putrid essence ever gets improved, Anet would never make it as useful as the other lodestones because it drops from Orr, the only level 80 open area farming place where many people farmed long enough to get their legendary.
