I got my Howler yesterday Doesn’t feel like a huge achievement, even though it was, because no one has said ‘Oh wow, cool legendary!!’ yet :/ Oh well, a few of my guildies said grats, so at least that’s something.

I’m trying for The Hunter precursor before getting anything else. 150 attempts so far through MF think i’ll just give up and save the gold and buy it.

I am stuck at needed T6 fine crafting (everything but ancient bone and venom sacs).

Hey everyone, I figured I’s say hi here

So, I’m going for Meteorlogicus (and I can’t wait for it to finally get some particle animation and a footrail, give us some love, please Anet)

At the moment, here I stand :
I got the precursor (bought from the AH for all my fortune, a mere 150 golds), the gift of mastery, the gift of energy (still need the recipe tho, but I have all ingredients + the crafting level), and around 1/4 of the T6/ecto needed ...
I’ll carry on doing CoE runs for the few tokens missing for the gift of Knowledge (and if I could get a Lodestone or two, I wouldn’t say no ), and some CoF runs for gold and golds/ectos.

The only thing that got me worried are the Charged Lodestone, are they reaaaally are expensive at the moment :/
The rest should be ok, I should be done at the end of the month for the T6, but no ETA for the lodestones ...

I’d say I’m at around 1/4 of my Legendary (counting the pre-cursor which I still need as 1/4th of a Legendary). I’m not very actively working on one, as I still don’t really have an idea which one I want.
I really love Bolt, but I wish I could use it on my Elementalist. It just doesn’t fit any other class.=/ Then there’s Sunrise which I love, but I hardly play my Guardian (more of a Thief, Elementalist player).

Amazing! I love the howler! One of my favourite actually. I dont think most people realise its a legendary TBH, thats why noone hasnt said anything.

When people say legendary everyone thinks of the overused twilight (No offense to the twilight owners/makers)

None taken. My Twilight bores me myself.
I enjoy my Bolt much more as I see another one once a week instead of every 100 feet in LA.

Taking my time on this. Just letting it come in its own time. Kinda looking at it like maybe by the time I’ve accumulated all the other ingredients I may get a lucky precursor drop, or ANet might have done something about making them less RNGey.

Or with my ridiculously miserly spending habits (thanks dad! ) I might have enough gold saved up to just buy the silly thing.

I’ve found this approach is keeping me from getting too obsessed/frustrated with the process. It’s definitely not the most efficient path to legendary, but I’m enjoying my time in Tyria much more than if I was actively grinding for it.

Got my Colossus two days ago, believe it or not about the 6th or 7th try… thought it was going to be a few month process gambling with the forge to get my precursor, but got it the second day of trying.

Right now just doing the 10 recipe for t6 mats, got about about 120 clovers, the extra clovers will just goto my next legendary, the t6 mats are definitely the roughest part in my case anyway.

Also obsidian shards aren’t bought from npc, there from orrian boxes, (make gold, get obsidian shards for more t6 mats, and get lodestones to sell or put towards legendary… thats a win-win-win)

So far I was really happy with my progress towards the Juggernaut. Then I threw 250 Ectos into the Mystic Forge and got 22 clovers now. That is not even a 10% rate!

I’m going for Bifrost for my Elementalist!

I looted The Legend off from Jormag, and that really pushed me to make Bifrost, sooner than expected.
I have gift of might, magic, energy.
I only have 20 clovers, waiting for ToB to open so I can get more shards (for rest of clovers and gift of mastery)
Hardest part for me (probably easy for others) is the tokens from WvWvW, that and Arah tokens.
I’m thinking I’ll have Bifrost by next weekend. Will post pictures when completed.

Got the 3 gifts, just need the colossus now. Threw a bunch of hammers into the toilet, no luck atm

SAB is the best way to farm Obsidian Shards btw. I farmed my 250 shards in about 3 days

Super Adventure Box. Digging at the right place + having a big purse can make the farm of Obsidian shards really, really easy. You may find many links on YouTube, I think the best is the one called “6000+ baubles per hour” or something like this.

I’m allright for the T6 mats, but the lodestone will really be a pain in a place where the sun never shines :/

The T6 Mats will cost more than the lodestones.

But in term of farming, T6 are really easyer to obtain

A little update: I’m now missing 85 skill points for the Bloodstone Shard and 96 Obsidian shards.

Ohh, I almost forgot… I’m missing Dusk aswell :-(

Update: Crafted Bolt. Took me 1500 hours on my main character. My total play time was 1700 hours.

NOPE but I realized that all the gold I have made for the other gifts is actually around 300-400G already, so making that much gold again to just buy seems doable right now. I will also not use the mystic toilet a single time.

Have: Gift of Colour and my God that was Tier 6 crafting hell, but the easier of the two to go for if you have enough laurels that’s less gold sinking into unidentified dyes. 39 icy runestones and superior sigil of nullification.

Don’t Have: Gift of Energy, when it comes to all my materials I’m sitting at about 100 for everything, not quite halfway but getting there.

Precursor

Hahahahahahah… -breaks down into tears-

My ability to farm is limited and I only started a week ago so I know my progress will be slow, the hardest part for me is actually holding back from spending all my gold that I’m trying to save, I got incredibly lucky and had Breath of Jormag drop for me so that was a boost

I saved enough gold to buy them both at the same time.

I am currently just needing 230 marks of honor, 250 ectoplasm, and my precursor (Spark). OOtherwise I’ve gotten the rest. I’m really excited.

I’m going for The Flameseeker Prophecies. But i’m not even going to start trying to get it untill they make getting a legendery fun. As it stands I’m not going to waist what little time I have to play the game grinding mats. Or play parts of the game I have zero intrest in like WvW. I don’t mind jumping through a crazy number of hoops to get everything I need as long as its fun. But as it stands it’s anything but.

Got my 77 clovers yesterday (84), only took 2 days to go from 23 to 84. Got my Gift of Mastery Sunday morning. So now I’m saving up mats, finish artificing today (hopefully), and I need to find Zap and get the stuff for the Gift of Bolt or whatever. ;-; I’m closer, some of the harder parts are done now.

Well I’m a part of the 75% club, I’ve got everything but the lover. I refuse to spend the gold for it on the trading post; so I’ve decided to run dungeons and mystic forge the exotics from that. It’ll take longer but it’s essentially free and I’m going to get back an exotic I can sell.

Edit: Before I decided to try this tactic I was crafting rares and throwing them into the forge. I was at about 200 short bows when I decided to change tactics.

Crafted the Dreamer last night ,actually gifts was 1 month work i can say they was pleasure to get cuz you past through all sides of the game as they have like content foo far and its really fun.. wvw,dugneons,jumping,pvp-ing,even grinding and proffesions was quite fun.The other hand… precursor is a real nighmare if you dont have ingame luck like myself real pain. But never the less i am legendary now so its your turn guys keep pushing you will make it.
