I speculate this will come in Season 2? PLEASE? I think Precursor crafting is long overdue!

The last thing I heard was that there is a team assigned to endgame gear progression. So maybe we will see some changes in the future.

I’m not too confident in precursor crafting. The mats will be ridiculous and probably be severely time-gated. I have no desire for Ascended crafting and no doubt you will need 500 crafting to make one.

Anything to lower the price of precursors is a plus in my book. I recently made eternity and I paid 2,000 gold for both dusk and dawn. I got that as a straight trade from a guildie and saved me easily 400gold.

I really don’t think crafting would make them cheaper in the long run. In fact, I would be pretty disappointed if they reduced them to a banality by providing us with something that simply everyone could easily accomplish. Judging from Tequatl, Triple Trouble and the like, Anet seem to have a tendency of miscalculating how easily most of their hardcore content can be completed by certain groups of players. If the same happened to the Scavenger Hunt, that would be pretty terrible.

On an unrelated note, 2000g? I take it that was some time ago when prices were higher? Right now I’d consider anything above 1700g a total ripoff when it comes to straight trading.

It was a few weeks ago when they were more expensive. None the less, if you were to buy them on the TP right now they’d cost you 2,000 gold for the two of them. That’s to much IMO and giving us a path to craft account bound ones to reduce the demand over time would be nice.

I think they have to use ascended weapon as part of the precursor.. it already costly, gated and requires 500 crafting. My bet is ascended wepon will be component 1.. this way they can easily move up to legendaary armor as they will have a method toupscale ascended in place

As an avid forger of pre’s I would like to see them become craftable. However I would like them to be account bound once crafted and the legendary they create to be account bound also. If you are going to go through the trouble of doing whatever is needed to craft them why not keep them. Anet has previously stated they have no intention of interrupting the current pre market so I don’t really see any other way for them to do this without making them bound.
