As today or tomorrow with completing monthly achievement every1 will be able to buy new ascended necklace i decided to post this thread. Might worth keeping the laurels for a while before you spend any of them.

Also Scavenger Hunt not going to happen anytime soon. :/

In the link Colin Johanson suggest that:

“We are however working on expanding reward systems to make them more re-rewarding across all parts of the game, making the open world more rewarding, and adding new ways you can earn precursors as rewards via new reward systems taking advantage of our open persistent world.

Some of these additions will come as early as the January release, and will get covered in more detail in the next week or two…."

Well in January only 1 new rewarding system went live and it is the Laurels.

What do you think? Will it happen?

Colin already stated in another thread that precursors would not be available through laurels as far as I can recall.

And even if they were, they’d take a ridiculous number of laurels which are a fixed quantity.

If a cat costs you 100, then how much is an exotic precursor? 1000?

Thanks for your answer. I haven’t seen that post from Colin. If that is so they really should coordinate the information they are spreading out to community.

Still a fixed quantity for Laurels could set a goal for the people. “I need to get 200 laurel, if i am dedicated enough i can make it it happen in 4 months.” Or just expand the way you can get the the Laurels and set it to 1000. Not the number is an issue tbh but the fact it would make the people satisfied. The current situation is out of control as i am reading the forum threads and watching the trading post.

Saying this while i know for me it will take far longer to get a legendary than most of the player as i am not playing that much and when i do mostly i am doing WvW. I don’t mind this. Eventually my legendary will come.

Yes Colin said exactly that ^. On a semi-separate note a lot of dev posts vanished completely from forums (that one included unless I failed at finding it again).
