If I transmute a legendary will that legendary get the upgrade to ascended when ascended stats launch? I do not want PTV stats on my legendary, but I also don’t want to miss the upgrade to ascended stats that legendaries will get when that time comes. Could a dev give a definite answer now?

I highly recommend the searching funkion. Its in the top right corner of this page.
You need to be in the forum directory you want to search in. E.g. “transmute legendary” will give you some results in the bug reporting directory.

Your weapon will lose the status legendary and gain the status transmuted. If you want, you can add me and I link you myy crippled Twilight of Accuracy later on when I get home from work.

ANet stated they solved the bug and with this statement have driven dozens of people to lose their opportunity to craft Eternity or get the stats levelled up to ascended.

Yeah, I’m aware of the old thread but there hasn’t been any official reply in some time.

Currently Transmuting a legendary will result in the status of legendary being retained I believe.

The thing is, the transition is still not 100% smooth. The item description shows the weapon as a legendary, but the link text in chat is still showing exotic color.

I forgot to check the actual rarity associated with the weapon so I will do that later today.

I actually went forward with the transmute because a friend told me dev confirmed that they fixed that particular issue.

It, will, not, retain, legendary. The status will be transmuted!

Yes the name and the colour was fixed now to Twilight and legendary colour. And no, you still cannot craft eternity after transmuting.
