I’ve a few questions about it the crafting process to 500…

Since lvl 450 I’v been making “Lumps of Mithrillium” and “Glob of Elder Spirit Residue”. They all give +- 1/5th of a crafting lvl.

1)- Does anyone know how much % of a crafting lvl crafting a Deldrimor ingot or a Spiritwood plank gives?
- And how much do you get for making a Bloodstone Brick/Empyreal Star/ Dragonite Ingot ?

2) Does anyone know how many weapons you need to discover to get from 475-500? (different guides say different things so i’d prefer to ask to someone who already did it)

I ask that because I don’t have many crafting boosters left, and I’d like to craft from the 456(my lvl+-) to 500 in 1 go with 1 crafting booster.

Won’t give you hard values, but from i remember deldrimor/spiritwoood and vision crystal mats refinement give about the same amount as Mithrillium/Spirit Residue. Just remember it goes down very fast – at 474 (when it is white) it’s somewhere around 2% per crafting

475-500… again, no hard values, but:
First craft, i needed 9 exotics to get from 477 to 500 (no craft booster there). The last was a minor jump, so likely rare discovery would have worked, but i forgot about this possibility then.

Second, i remember i used 4 exotics to push the last levels, from 488 to 500. I ended up a little bit short, which i managed by doing a few of rare discoveries (about 1/5-1/4 of level per discovery). That was with craft booster.

In general, you should count about 2-2.5 craft levels per exotic. With lucky bonus xp from booster, it may go better, but it’s best to have enough mats just in case.

This is not an answer but a question on a question since I am about to try what you are doing.

So you mean each day we can make one lump and one glob and that will give us 2/5ths of a single craft level? Thus if we want to get from 450 to 475 we would need say 62.5 days? That would be without diminishing returns. That’s horrible. Is that why all the crafting guides I’ve read (like this: http://gw2crafts.net/weaponcraft_400.html) skip that part and just tell you to keep making exotics for 5-6g each?

Yes, it’s slow – but, as i mentioned above, it’s not only mithrillium and Globs of elder spirit essence (and spool of elonian cord, in case of huntsman), but also their refinements (deldrimor ingots, spiritwood planks and elonian leather respectively) and vision crystl components (blodstone bricks, dragonite ingots and empyreal stars). The last three are limited only by the speed at which you can farm them. With bloodstone dust, it is very fast.

Still, due to the lower and lower xp the closer you are to 475, it is a very slow process compared to the exotic creation (even if it’s much cheaper).
