Is there any sort of level limit on crafting?

I mean, can I just roll a level 1 toon, buy materials and raise it to 500 crafting level without having to worry about the XP levels. Or is there a character level limit like that in WoW?

(Yes, I know it would gain XP by crafting – I’m not asking about that)

Yes, you can craft to 500 on a level 1 character.

Yep, you can power through it. I raised my artificer straight to 400 after I created her (which was the limit at the time,) and while she couldn’t use the weapons that were too high for her level, she gained a ton of XP, shooting her up to…about twenty, I think it was, in character level.

As long as you’ve got the materials/gold, you can plow straight through any number of crafting disciplines. I think the first level 80 character I heard of, way back when, was done in an astonishingly quick time by a guild pulling together to fund a character completely through each crafting discipline.

yep. you can craft to 500 off the start from lvl1, even make ascended weapons with them too. :p

just an fyi: 1-400 was 10 levels per max, but it only 7 levels now with the other 3 coming from getting to 500.

Actually level 2 is required because you need to finish the prologue to gain access to a crafting station.

If you have an XP scroll, make sure to use it before you start crafting to get the best value out of the crafting XP.
