As this is place about crafting things and so on and so forth I decided to ask about one thing?
After all updates and changes some things still need solution.
For example like what to do with some components for ascended craft?

PS: Answer “Throw away” is considered not on the level

Craft with them?

Assuming the OP needs around another 40 ascended weapons/armors.

All the consumables seem to sell for a lost.

Yeah OP, I hear you. I’m also collecting a lot of this stuff without ever having an intention to use it. The account boundness of it is horrible.

Throw it away, if you think it clogs your inventory and you dont intend to craft with it.
And if deleting it is not an option for you, then keep it in the full knowledge that they will never be made tradeable or vendorable.

It’s very wasteful, I’ll admit, but I’ve gotten into the habit of throwing bloodstone and dragonite away. I have a spare stack of each of those in ingots. I’m still crafting empyreal stars though.

I’ve heard a lot of people complaining lately that they did this with their Transmutation Stones in the past…..same thinking you posted above.

It is always possible a new recipe (that isn’t useless) may come out to use the Bloodstone Dust (the REAL issue here) and it’s not impossible they will eventually make it tradeable in some manner. Vendor-able would certainly be preferable to just destroying it.

How is everyone getting this much? I run two dungeon paths per day, and I have room for bloodstone in my collections, and almost no dragonite ore.

I probably deleted more than 100 transmutation stones in the past and i dont regret it. I didnt use them when i deleted them and I not running low on transmutation charges right now. So the fact, that i deleted them, didnt give me any financial loss and rewarded me with 1 more inventory slot in the meantime.

The amount on the screenshot actually isnt that much. Its just enough dragonite and shards (2.5k each) to craft 1 ascended armor set and 1 weapon. The surplus amount of bloodstone dust makes me think that the OP was running alot of champ trains in the past.
Right now, using Bloodstone Dust to craft Toxic Focussing Crystals yields 11c per dust, a little more, if you get the spore samples and crystalline dust on buy order. Thats after taxes and his collection of 20k bloodstone dust would yield him 22g. Thats basically enough gold to buy the recipe and lvl your artificer from 400-450g.

I still have some spare bank space, so I’ve still been hoarding mine on the off-chance we end up being able to trade them in for the LA Reconstruction, or when the Bazaar comes back to town.

With the arrival of the Wardrobe, I’m also about to embark on my T5/T6 leg of my crafting journey, so I can at least convert some of them into mats for future Ascended crafting. (Got way more Bloodstone Dust than I’ll need though.)

For me it makes no sense to hoard these materials. Bank and inventory space are finite resources. If the guild bank and vault were more accommodating for accountbound materials I’d consider keeping a small stash, but for the purposes of maybe one day being able to offload them to some NPC that comes around annually? To me it’s just not worth it.

If you are smart you would save them for the possibility that Anet actually goes through with precursor crafting because I get the feeling it will be a huge dragonite ore drain. Like vision crystals off the ying yang.

Wow. Now I’m totally confused by Spidy. Let’s just take Toxic Focusing Crystal. It says on the recipe page that sell price is over 1g, but if you search on Toxic Focusing Crystal, it says the sell price is only 26s. What the heck is going on?

EDIT: Wait. Ignore me. That’s because in crafting, you make 5 of them. Got it.

Also keep in mind that spidy takes lowest listings for its calculation. If you get the toxic spores and dust on buy order, you will get more profit.

Also you can sub the dust for something for making those infusions that add + 5 agony and a stat + 5. These only go in the normal offensive, defensive, or omni slots, not your +1 agony infusion slot that uses those compounded +1s to make larger.

Ok. I should have added one more thing to that. So…
Method I chose to level two of my characters from level 20 to 80 was running queensdale killing champions (on some boosts). So i got some bloodstone dust out of it. Some of my friends however did not do the first option and they run dungeons (to level up, for hobby, to train speed clearing) and they got same results with dragonite ore. Some other people are now running in EOTM farming exp, wxp, karma, champion bags and they say they are being loaded with empyreal crystals and bloodstone dust.
The thing is wherever and whenever you try to make some money in this game they throw bunch of useless trash at you that you can’t even use for anything else than a few recipes. Another example of this were blade shards that apart from one recipe are useless.

I still think that just deleting them when you dont want them is the easiest solution. Its a minor inconvenience to you, it takes less than a second to delete a stack. Any solutions brought forward until now are resulting in unwanted gold faucets, unintended use and require dev time. Those mats work pretty well for what they were intended, so why change it?

useless

They may be useless to you, but to others that desire top stat gear and/or weapons, the recipes actually require quite a bit of it.

trash

If you consider it trash, do what you do with trash…throw it away.

If you don’t like throwing away “useless trash”, then you can a) hoard it like you are currently or b) craft it into something else.

I really don’t see any other possibilities.

If this is supposed to be a suggestion thread so that there is something else to do with it than what there is currently, I think you may want to ask different questions.

TBH you can get MUCH more if you run EotM train, well maybe exclude dragonite ore. Ore is easily farmable via world boss events. I have 1 tab filled with dust, stars, dragonite. In fact I gain more daily than I am able to refine due to timegating.

Still, I do not want to trash it in hopes it will be needed for ascended jewelry or cooking. Sadly, the space in my bank and on alts ran out and I am forced to trash few stacks every day.
