Rares that sell for 1g+
Does anyone know why certain rare weapons sell for 1g+
EG: Dagger, Greatsword,….They are just called by their weapon type
Afaik those are the rares dropped from fractals and reason might be because they are not
As common as other rares aswell as ppl might think the chances of getting a precursor from the forge are higher with those rares

well what is could be is what you could get for the precurser.
Greatswords: Dawn, Dusk
Dagger: Spark
and it could aslo be stats as well usually Beserker stats power percesion critical damage are stats that most people want or have. but i think its becuase of the precursers that are in high demand
or it has the rune that procs might on crit, those can b salvaged for $$$

Except, you know, rares tend to have major runes and not superiors. Which means your major sigil of strength sells for 6s. Hardly reasonable to pay 1g for it.
I’d say that were items mentioned soldier prefix, that’d explain. Soldier items tend to sell for a lot more than common prefix items. I blame wvwvw for that.
Were they to have rare look, that’d explain as well. Were they “rare” drop (fractal only, for example), that’d explain as well. Were someone trying to play market with cool skin? That’d explain it too. And let’s not forget additional consumption of GS/dagger rares due to mystic toilet.
Most reasonable reason is sum of reasons.
Outsource rng → profit.
I think the OP is talking about apothecary gear. There, the price would somewhat make sense, although I doubt people will buy it. But just do the calculations: you need 20 karka shells, of which each shell costs roughtly 6 silver. Then add the other components, such as spools of silk or mithril plated dowels. Conclusion: people selling apothecary stuff should have sold the components instead, because they’re making a net loss making apothecary gear; moreover, noone is going to buy their product, either.
