As a semi-new player, should I be concerned with choosing crafting professions based around their legendary weapon components, or just professions that could help me level more efficiently?

I’m not a huge fan of maxing all my professions on one character, so I would like to just stick to 2 for my Guardian. Would it be better to pick something based on my class, or my planned legendary items? Can you still make/obtain them without those specific professions?

You don’t have to have the discipline needed for your legendary on your Guardian. Any gift you make should be Account bound. So you can pretty much make an Alt with said Required discipline(s) and still have the disciplines you want for you guardian.
