Q:
Why are resource nodes not marked on the main map and why are they only marked within a certain radius of the player on the mini map? Gathering involves plenty of time just running to the nodes and most of my resources come from drops anyways. Do we really need to spend that extra time searching? This doesn’t really bother me, just wondering if there’s some bigger reason I’m missing.
I don’t get it either, and I really miss the Gatherer addon in WoW that saved a searchable database of resource nodes you interacted with and put the locations on your map permanently. Not only was that just plain convenient, it also gave me a sense of accomplishment to “populate” a new area map with resource nodes over time.
