Anyone know whats going on?? Up until a couple days ago I did pretty brisk business in weaponsmithing. Its been a standstill and everyones dropping their prices to try and get some sales but no bites.
Too many people have entered the market, over supply I would say. I used to make a lot of money from making ruby shards, into crystals, into orbs, and they sold really fast, and it was GREAT cash. Then lots of people started doing it, eventually, prices started crashing because too many people were doing it, eventually no one needed orbs anymore, but there were still people making them.
Actually it’s because of the latest patch.. since wold events drop rares almost 100% of the time and lots of players are abusing it(by guesting), this is flooding the market causing rares & ecto’s prices to crash making people not want to spend their money while prices adjust
ectos were 38s, less than 1 month later they are 27s.. lots of people lost money and are gonna wait for prices to normalize, go back up

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. There is some wierd trend with the economy right now that devalued all my stock by at least 20% Unhappy crafter.
You all must have skritt for brains! Everyone knows that you can’t make a profit from crafting as everything you can craft is near to worthless.
Don’t you guys read the forums instead of creating threads about making shinies with imaginary sales!
I’ve noticed the same with dropped weapons and armor. I suspect it’s at least partially down to the fact that last month Salvaging was one of the monthly achievements so a lot of people were buying up whatever they could get to salvage.
This month it’s not on there so there is less of a reason to buy.

While I have no data, I would presume that it is a combination of a few factors, some of which have already been stated in this post and others which have not.
To add some more reasons:
1. Monthly Master craft, everyone and their mother, now has put 40 /master/rare/exotic items into circulation, coupled with this fact brings us to
2. ‘Most’ no one wants to craft/do stuff at a loss, so before you start your monthly master crafting, you look for items that will sell at a profit or at least near profit.
